French Open 2025 Recap

The young American women’s star, Coco Gauff, had struggled mightily in moments where many believed she would thrive. She had been on the precipice of greatness but only had one Grand Slam title to her name—the 2023 US Open.

At the 2025 French Open final, Gauff would go big-game hunting as only the No. 1 player in the world, Aryna Sabalenka, stood in her way. Gauff would be the second to upset Sabalenka in a 2025 Grand Slam final match when she secured a 6-7, 6-2, 6-4 victory to claim the second major title of her young career.
