Dodgers Go with Glasnow Against Veteran Scherzer
The World Series continues with Game 3 on Monday in Los Angeles. And while the teams split the games in Toronto, there is a significant advantage for the Dodgers as the next three games are at Chavez Ravine.
MLB odds for Game 3 have the Dodgers as -188 favorites on the moneyline while the Blue Jays sit at +165. Look for the Jays-Dodgers to fill up the scoreboard with the total odds sitting at eight runs
Any momentum Toronto had from its romp in Game 1 was thwarted by Yoshinobu Yamamoto on Saturday. The Dodgers’ righty stymied Toronto bats, retiring the last 18 he faced in a 5-1 victory.
If one wants to bet on the MLB regarding the result of the World Series, the Dodgers are strong favorites at -255. Toronto is at +215. The Blue Jays need to win one of the three games in LA to return the series to Canada.
When it comes to MLB lines at BetUS in the prop department, there are options on the winning margin, such as the Blue Jays to win by a run (+750) or the Dodgers to do the same (+350).
Think you know what the first home run will be? Solo is -140, and that runs up to grand slam (+5000). Jordan Addison fans would look for lightning to strike twice.
There are many props that you can play regarding the teams or the game. And don’t forget the individual player props. Will Shohei Ohtani hit a home run? Vlad Guerrero Jr.? You name it, and BetUS has a prop to satisfy betting desires.
On to the pitching matchup for Game 3 of the 2025 World Series:
Blue Jays’ Starter Has Plenty of Experience
This will be the fourth World Series for veteran right-hander Max Scherzer. He has pitched in the postseason classic in 2012, 2019, and 2023. His lone win came in the 2019 Series for the Washington Nationals. Before that, he pitched for the Detroit Tigers, and after that for the Texas Rangers.
Overall, Scherzer has thrown 19.1 innings in the WS with a 3.26 ERA. The 41-year-old keeps finding employment because of how difficult he is to hit. The Blue Jays are his seventh MLB team. Scherzer threw 85 innings this regular season and finished 5-5 with a 5.19 ERA. Don’t be fooled by that number: He can be tough and should come up big in a huge game for the AL representatives.
Dodgers Counter with Veteran Righty, Too
Tyler Glasnow gets the nod from Dave Roberts. He threw 90.1 innings in 2025 with a 4-3 record and 3.19 ERA. Glasnow missed time twice during the season, early on with a shoulder injury and later with a bad back. Injuries have been a significant problem in the 32-year-old’s career, as he has never made more than 22 starts in a single season.
This is Glasnow’s fourth postseason appearance. The first three came as a player on the Tampa Bay Rays. As a Dodger this season, he has appeared in three games, making a pair of starts with a 0.68 ERA in 13.1 innings.
- Pick: Dodgers to win -188; Dodgers run line -1½
