2025 US Open Tennis: Top Three Favorites in the Odds

The men’s draw for the US Open features Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, and the rest of the field. For years, it was a three-player battle between Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic. With the former two retired and the latter starting to show the impact of age, there are new kids on the block who are dominating the US Open men’s outrights.

US Open tennis odds at BetUS have Sinner listed at Even, with Alcaraz’s odds at +185. Djokovic is the third choice at +800. These numbers bear watching because Sinner and Djokovic both pulled out of the Toronto Open due to injury. Are they really injured, or are they looking to rest up after a grueling fortnight at Wimbledon?

Sinner’s injury is a right elbow issue suffered during a fall on the grass courts. Djokovic blamed a groin problem. Adding to the issues in the Toronto men’s field, Jack Draper dropped out, too, because of a problem with his left arm. He will also miss the tournament in Cincinnati. Draper’s US Open tennis odds are +1400, making him the fifth choice in the betting market.

Why are Sinner and Alcaraz so dominant at the US Open tennis?

The top two players in the men’s field at BetUS Sportsbook have moved to the top of the men’s tennis rankings. The 23-year-old Jannik Sinner is No. 1 by a clear margin over Carlos Alcaraz, who is No. 2 at 22. They have combined to win the first three Grand Slam events of 2025. Sinner captured the Australian Open and Wimbledon. Alcaraz won the French Open, defeating Sinner in the final.

Alcaraz entered the latter part of July at 48-6 in 2025. Sinner was 26-3 before announcing he would not play in Toronto. Their records explain the dominance in the US Open odds to win the tennis championship. No one would be stunned if they wound up meeting in the final.

2025 US Open Tennis Odds: Smart Picks Beyond the Favorites

Other Top US Contenders in Men’s Singles

Novak Djokovic seems to be battling Father Time as well as his younger opponents. At 38, he was no match for Sinner in a Wimbledon semifinal. He has won this event four times, with his 2023 victory tying Margaret Court with 24 Grand Slam championships. The 25th title has proven elusive, and he would have to turn back the clock to earn this championship at +800 ATP odds.

Given the spate of injuries that have beset Djokovic, looking at his odds to win the US Open tennis would be risky business. He will go down as one of the greats of tennis, but a win at Flushing Meadows would prove remarkable at this stage.

A player to keep an eye on when it comes to the final Grand Slam event of 2025 is Alexander Zverev. He made it to the final of the Australian Open before losing to Sinner. The hard court suits his game, and he definitely could menace at +1200 in US Open tennis odds.

A player who would have to turn his 2025 season around is Daniil Medvedev. Once ranked as No. 1 in the world, he is now 14th. He sits at +1600 in the US Open tennis odds to win, and those odds could be a tad light given his recent poor efforts.

Other Ways to Play the US Open Men’s Field

Look into the prop tennis market to see what players might be the first to serve an ace or to serve the most aces in a match or the tournament. It is fairly easy to do some Internet searches to see what players have dominant serves and could use them to the advantage of bettors in this historic tournament.

There are other options, such as winning by more or fewer games than the betting line, whether a match will go over a certain total of games, and other options like a match handicap, total sets (best-of-five), correct score first set, and set betting. There are moneyline odds on matches, and remember, anything can happen at the US Open, particularly on the evening cards, which go deep into the night and the early morning.

The men’s outrights focus on Sinner and Alcaraz. They are the elite players in 2025. Will they continue to rule the courts in the final major of the season? Will there be upsets? The tournament draws huge crowds and incredible interest from fans and bettors at BetUS Sportsbook & Casino. Keep a keen eye on the moneyline for matches and the prop markets during the event, as well as the outrights heading into it. BetUS is the place to go for the best odds and to ace some of your tennis wagers.
